Assam’s highly-anticipated ropeway project connecting Guwahati’s Kachari Ghat in Pan Bazar with North Guwahati finally completed and now assam minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya gives it a first look.
The total length of this ropeway is 1820 metres and each cable car travelling through it will have a capacity of carrying 30 passengers. The total duration of travelling from the lower to upper terminal will be 8 minutes. The Kachari Ghat in Panbazar will be the lower terminal of the ropeway while Rajadwar village behind Dol Govinda Temple in North Guwahati will serve as the upper terminal.
It is hoped that the new ropeway will boost tourism in the region. Photo: Twitter
