Feasibility study delayed by Covid-19

In 2018, incumbent Ulrich Krebs surprised his challengers Ellen Enslin (Greens) and Holger Grupe (FDP) with the view that a urban ropeway was suitable for connecting Schmitten and Hohemark, both in terms of improving public transport and increasing tourist use on the weekends. A corresponding feasibility study was then announced.

Additional traffic-related questions as well as the highly dynamic situation regarding the Covid-19 virus "delay the completion of the feasibility study on cable cars as local means of transport in the Taunus.

No further steps are currently known.
