Perth is the capital and, by far, the largest city of the Australian federal state of Western Australia. Situated on the continent’s south-west coast, it has a lot of beaches where its residents can relax. However, according to a recent study, the residents’ favorite spots, Kings Park and Elizabeth Quay, attract numerous visitors too. Warner Bros has announced a plan to construct an ambitious aerial tramway to transport visitors to the Hollywood sign. According to the Los Angeles Times, the studio is expecting to pay an estimated $100m for the project.

The Work on the Likoni cable cars are about to start

Pre-engineering works on the Sh5.8billion Likoni cable cars project is set to start in the beginning of July. The works will involve a survey of the land where landing stations and masts will be build on the two sides of the Likoni channel. Construction of the project is set to begin before August.

Doppelmayr opened the world’s longest ropeway. With a length of 7,899.9 meters, the Hòn Thơm 3S beats the record previously held by another 3S lift in Vietnam, the Fansipan Legend, by almost one and one-half kilometers. The route of the new tricable gondola lift crosses the sea and connects the vacation islands Phú Quốc and Hòn Thơm in the south of Vietnam.
